On 9 December we braved the weather and had a great chance to play golf amongst friends at the Royal Golf Club of Hainaut. Participants faced rainy weather and at times fridged temperatures but the morale of the group remained high. Finishing the event in the club house with drinks and good conversation also helped!
Chan Faymetta pulled off a second victory of the season to see him climb in the rankings from tied for 4th to now being tied for 1st place. Darryl Rupp also jumped up in the standings to sharing the leader position in season points rankings thanks to a runner up showing at the Christmas Cracker as well as getting closest to the pin. Well done to both players and continued success as the season progresses.
Jeff Smith won the long drive with a great shot on hole #7.
As mentioned, Darryl Rupp walked away with the closest to the pin on hole #8.
Our next event (The Celtic Quaich) is scheduled to take place on 20 January at Golf de Falunee, a staple course that we have played in the past. Please help to get the word out to members.
As always, we thank you all for your continued support as members of our golf club. Hope to continue to see as many of you out there as possible for our upcoming events.
