This month’s event was a get together amongst members of the NATO Golf Club to enjoy a friendly round of golf. Groups were given the opportunity to conduct formats of their choosing which was a nice break in the season of competitions. We were able to once again take advantage of the outstanding courses in the surrounding Brussels area with Rigenee Golf Club serving as the venue for this event.
While the skies might have been overcast, and the start of the round a little chilly in temperature, that did not dampen our spirits. We were able to take advantage of the day and enjoy a round with friends. Another bright spot was the addition of Josh Davidson and Kirby Sanford, two recent additions to the NGC. Welcome aboard and we look forward to seeing you at future events!
Long Drive for males was secured by Josh Davidson who proved to be the long hitter of the day.
Katrin Wien took home the prize for Long Drive for females with an outstanding drive.
Jon Gunther had a tremendous shot on hole #18 for closest to the pin.
With the Friendly being our third event of the year, season points are starting to heat up. Joe Oleary has a narrow lead by one point for first place, Guillaume Verhulst is just behind in second place.
Our next event is a golf match versus the SHAPE Golf Association which will take place on 16 November at Brabantse Golf Club. Thanks again to Jon Gunther and Darryl Rupp for all the hard work in making this happen. The Christmas Cracker will take place on 7 December at the Royal Golf Club of Hainaut. Please help to get the word out to our members.
