Sunday was a great day of golf. We pretty much covered all four seasons of the year, twice, in one round. Rain, sleet, gale force winds and bright sunshine. The golfing gods played cruel games this day. Not only did we have a good turn-out, we had the pleasure of playing with three new members.
Welcome Bjorn Frostelied, Frond Minge and Pål-Christian Olsen.
We also had the pleasure of Tim Waugh being and Luc Van de Winckel being in town and joining in.
Whilst the Germans again tried to sweep the prizes, with Katrin Wien taking the over 18 HC grouping, trailed by her husband Wolfgang taking the second price, Norway stood in the way. Each of our three new members, took home a prize. Playing in their first NATO Golf Club event, Bjorn takes the under 18 HC grouping, with Pål-Christin in runner up. Frond takes Closest to the Pin. For a little non-European Flavour, Michael too longest drive.
Germany and Norway dominate the day.
So far we have five sign ups for the Nations Cup on 18 May. Lets see if we can get those up. Would be great to have at least 12 players, if not more.
Registration form is on the website.
